Located in the ruggedly beautiful Klein (Little) Karoo region of South Africa, Oudtshoorn is readily associated with ostrich farming - and little wonder, as there are around 400 ostrich farms surrounding the town. The world-renowned Cango Caves are another reason that visitors flock to this lovely town, but there is certainly much more to Oudtshoorn than these two noteworthy attractions.
Near the town of Oudtshoorn, located in the Karoo and part of the Garden Route, are the spectacular Cango Caves. The Garden Route is the most scenic and picturesque travel route in the Eastern Cape, and the trip inland to the Cango Caves is well worth the effort.
