Black South Africa in the 1960s… Kind of

[CAPTIONS ON for non-Italiano.] Kind of racist and kind of sexist, except if you think it's really racist and sexist. Funny, but patronizing, but refreshing too. It's novel to find a portrayal of native Africans in apartheid South Africa that's fun. Remember that this is before the worst of apartheid. You might be surprised that the filmmakers are (most likely) more savvy than you think. They are winking at you. That is: take this with a grain of salt. I won't spoil the details, but maybe you should look up Keep comments civil, please — I know how views of race from bygone days can stir people up. Please don't spew it.
