First Southern Right Whales of season 2012 in Kleinbaai, Dyer Island – South Africa

1.Early sighting of a Southern Right Whale from a shark boat. 2.Surprised sighting of a southern right whale by shark cage divers. 3.Surprised early sighting of a southern right whale in Kleinbaai Great White Shark cage divers were treated to a close up sighting of a Southern Right Whale in Kleinbaai yesterday. This permitted whale watching area of Dyer Island Cruises was favoured by the relaxed whale who did some "people watching" at the Apex and Whale Whisperer boats. The surprise visit sparks an early beginning of the 2012 whale watching season. Southern Right whales migrate annually to the South African coast from June -- December to mate and to calf.
