Inside the sea-cave at Arniston

This short clip was taken inside the massive sea-cave at Arniston (Waenhuiskrans), about 200 kilometres from Cape Town. The cave was worn by the ocean from the sandstone along this stretch of coastline, and can only be reached at low tide, through a circular entrance at the back. The tide was coming in when Clare filmed this footage. The other name for Arniston, Waenhuiskrans, means "wagon house cave" in Afrikaans. It is named for this cave, which is large enough to hold several wagons. For more about scuba diving in Cape Town, visit www.learntodivetoday.co.za
