Pottery Project on the Rixile Culture to Kruger Route

A small workshop in the rural area of Giyani, not far from the border of South Africa's Kruger National Park, is the humble venue at which Tsonga potters practice their traditional craft.This is one of the projects on Open Africa's Rixile Culture to Kruger Route. http://www.openafrica.org/route/Rixile-Culture-to-Kruger-Route Western Union, a money transfer organization, is supporting efforts to market emerging enterprises on the route. The potters learnt the skill from their grandmothers, and even today it remains their only source of income.
