Sheila’s Collection of Puppets and Marionettes from Around The World You travel. Something weird beautiful or useful catches your eye and in a blink of an eye, a new collection is born. Puppets and Marionettes have being around for eons and used to entertain people on the streets and in elaborate shows. For example, puppets act in Vietnam's water puppet performances and China uses them for opera. Many are intricately decorated like the ones purchased in Thailand- covered with sequins and fine embroidery while others are carved of wood, rustic and meant for laughs. This includes our little old wooden Burmese lady who has anatomically perfect moving parts and another from Mali's Dogon country. We now had a hat collection, a selection of puppets and marionettes and still more items headed in our direction. Wait until you see those! What do you collect?
