The Dare – Part I – Samhain The Origins
There is one night every year when the dead can cross over and walk among the living. This night was first celebrated by the ancient Celts more than 2000 years ago. They celebrated Samhain which marked the end of the harvesting season when the veil between the living and the dead was at it's thinnest. Tribes used to light barn fires and wore masks to confuse and drive the spirits back to the realm of the dead.
